Mission Statement:

Veterans Maintenance Solution assists current and former members of the US Military and their families with maintenance and accessibility concerns about their homes. We accomplish this by being a resource for:
Raising funds for home repairs
Coordinating work if requested
Solving accessibility issues
Staying current on available housing repair grants
Networking with other organizations that help veterans

Background:
We started meeting and discussing this nonprofit in September 2018. We were founded on January 27, 2019. We currently have three volunteer board members and a number of advisors along with our steering committee. We have been in touch with Home Sweet Home, Salvation Army, the VFW and a number of different Veteran organizations. We have had fundraisers at different locations in Central IL to help raise money for veterans and families with special needs and will continue to do so.

What we do:
To start, we are going to be offering free home safety inspections to veterans in our community. We have a team of professionals that we work with to handle repair projects in homes. Our long term goal is to help homeless veterans be able to acquire affordable housing in our Central IL community.

 Our Goals:
-Free home safety inspections for veterans
-Help veterans with existing home maintenance needs
-Help disabled veterans to be able to have a safe home
-Help get the individual get approved through CIHN & our partners
-Transitional housing for veterans that are in between housing if needed
-Refer veterans to job opportunities
-Our long term goal is to help homeless veterans acquire affordable housing
-CIHN will maintain communication with all parties involved
